(Queensland).- Negotiations are underway between the stakeholders of the Queen’s Wharf precinct and Crown Resorts regarding a potential transfer of casino operations—an initiative that would mark Blackstone’s debut presence in Queensland through its subsidiary.

The owners of Queen’s Wharf precinct are in talks with Crown Resorts about a takeover of casino operations, a move that would expand the Blackstone-owned business into Queensland for the first time.
Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium, which each own 25 per cent of the sprawling hotel, casino, and entertainment complex in Brisbane, are finalising the purchase of Star Entertainment’s 50 per cent stake in the business. They want to replace Star as the precinct’s casino operator by early next year.
Queen’s Wharf Brisbane is a unique and vibrant new world city development attracting visitors and investment, reconnecting the activity of the Brisbane city centre to the river, preserving and celebrating Brisbane’s heritage, and delivering high quality public spaces. The new precinct has been transformed from an under utilised area into a vibrant oasis for locals and visitors, blending repurposed heritage buildings with contemporary architecture.
The project includes delivery of the shell and core works covering the basement, base services, tower structures and the facade of the main integrated resort. It includes the integrated resort high-rise tower shells ready for later fit-out works, the podium level nestled between the towers and the iconic Sky Deck that sits 100 metres above street level.
The integrated resort and entertainment precinct includes four towers and 5 and 6 star premium hotel brands. The towers also include a casino with world class gaming facilities and new luxury retail, restaurants and bars fully accessible to the public. The residential Tower 4 includes recreation facilities for residents, and a pool deck.
